Two Fat Ladies City Centre
Two Fat Ladies City Centre is the more recently opened sister restaurant to the favourite old stalwart of the same name on Dumbarton Road in the West End. The original is so tiny it's cute, seating only 26 covers, and the City Centre version isn't much bigger, but in this it manages to capture much of the charm of its sister. It's small size makes for a friendly and informal atmosphere and the staff are always smiling and helpful.
The menu is primarily seafood based and everything is cooked so perfectly and with such simple style that it should tempt even the most determined hater of seafood, but there are always delicious meaty alternatives for those who refuse to be converted. Must try dishes include the Two Fat's fish platter, which changes daily, (tempting you to return again and again), and scallops with Stornoway black pudding, which can be served as a starter or as a main course.
